Who can become a member?
Not individuals, but RTOs (Research & Technology Organisations) and Research and Development departments of industrial organisations are considered as YEAR members.
YEAR is aimed at organisations and departments of larger organisations which are established in member countries of the European Union or European Economic Area, which are managerially independent and which as their predominant activity provide research and development, technology and innovation services.
A formalized network of young researchers within a participating organisation is not a requirement for membership. However, to set up an internal network of young researchers within your own organization will help it as a whole - we can give you advice on how to build up such a network.
Is there an age limit?
YEAR is meant for young-minded people, therefore there is no age limit to join our activities.
Categories of Membership
4 different categories of membership are established: Individual Members, Association Members, Corresponding Members and Honorary Members. Check the differences here.
