Categories of Membership
According to the different role and involvement in the Association, 4 different categories of membership are established: Individual Members, Association Members, Corresponding Members and Honorary Members.
- Individual Members: organisations established in member countries of the EU or European Economic Area which as their predominant activity provide research and development, technology and innovation services.
- Association Members: not-for-profit associations established in the EU or EEA whose members are predominantly organisations which meet the conditions for individual membership and whose membership is broadly representative of the industrial research and development, technology and innovation sector.
- Corresponding Members: industrial research and technology organisations which are established in countries which have a co-operation agreement with the European Union concerning science and technology and which otherwise meet the conditions of individual membership.
- Honorary Members: individuals or organisations which do not qualify for membership of the Association and which by their activities, by financial contributions or by other means make a significant contribution to the fulfilment of the purpose of the Association.
